I still remember a pair of them quietly moving toward the main at Enola back in '62. They were impressive. As to new electrification or re-electrification under a greennew deal, that will require agitation from below because electric freight operation has been gone too long for most of the youngergreenies don't have a picture ofthe advantages. Worse yet, some of the NIMBYs on the SF Peninsula have tried to object to electrified Caltrain as increasing noise. |
