I remember going to Sunnyside Yard on the Queens Blvd. Overpass and finding it full of GG1s. Before the Toasters came along (but after the E60s were restricted to 85 MPH) those leviathans ruled the NEC. They pulled everything from Silver trains to NJ Transit locals. It was worth your wait on Thanksgiving weekend to see what strangeness the G's were bringing with them everywhere north of DC!Fantastic photos, thanks for taking me back! |
