I think it depends on where in midtown you're heading. Going by the published rush hour schedules and allowing for a 12 minute run up the RBB from Liberty Junction to Queens Blvd, Far Rock to 42 St via QBL local would be about 65 minutes, while the current rush hour time on the A from Far Rock to 42 St is about 74 minutes. Would be 9 minutes saved be worth it?
