I guess my only issue with that theory is it makes it impossible to do with normal service levels; to demolish a platform, place a track in its place, and cover over an active running track would not be do-able in a single weekend. I would hope the IND would have had the foresight to realize knocking out an entire track during weekdays would have been a non-starter considering the ridership levels and TPH then were greater than they are now... |
