Amtrak is not interested in where LIRR trains go and doesn't give out track slots to LIRR.Amtrak and LIRR have a Joint Operating Agreement and LIRR own's their's, grandfathered form the 1960's, some of which are being transferred to MN in 2023 for Bronx service. As far as Amtrak is concerned, they are all MTA-LIRR trains. |
