When did the Lo-V motors go into service on the BMT Franklin shuttle? Any numbers for them, larry? Tuscarora Almanac - August 20, 1959 - The Book of First Runs Brooklyn, New York New York City Transit Authority BMT Division IRT Lo-V Motors enter service today on BMT Route No 5 Culver Line. They have been outfitted with flanges to cover the gap between the cars and the stations. Lo-V's 4581, 4583 and 4585 through 4605 will eventually see service on the BMT.
