Why not simply install a flashing yellow at the station just before the area where the worker has to go? CTA has that and underneath the flashing yellow is a black on yellow sign that reads “WA” which presumably stands for workers ahead. The worker merely energizes the sign to alert T/Os of his/her presence ahead and to be on the lookout. |
