From the Wikipedia article on the Knox & Kane:On October 10 and 11, 2008, the [Knox & Kane's] rolling stock was auctioned off as part of a liquidation sale. The Kovalchick Corporation (which also owns the East Broad Top Railroad) bought the property. Kovalchick corporation is a scrap metal company. I found the name of the auction company from a local (Bradford, PA) newspaper article. A call to them may possibly find some further info. about #782, whether it was scrapped on site or bought at auction. It's on my follow up list - busy week this week, but I'll se if I can get to it sometime. |
