When I worked the Communication Desk in the Command Center, we were instructed when speaking to the media to be as evasive as possible when it came to derailments, so the term “partial derailment” would convey a less severe image that just “derailment" which might conjure up images of a multi car mainline RR train’s cars scattered over half the countryside. |
