It is unfortunate since the Chicago agency charged with building the expressways is called the Department of SUBWAYS and Superhighways. NY should have had a department like that so that transportation in NY could have been intelligently planned. That was also the fault of that anti trolley mayor Laguardia who along with his appointee Moses was responsible for the deathe of sensible transit planning i NYC. |
