The northern outer reaches of the London Underground are like that due to government interference: The Metropolitan Green Belt.The establishment of the Green Belt is why work on the Northern Heights Project on the Northern Line did not resume after the war and therefore why it has that stub to Mill Hill East from the High Barnet branch. |
