They spent a ton of money on CBTC, they bought all-new trains, and they still can't match the speed of a grody old redbird in 2000. :(...and apparently, they also can't replace a few switches without shutting down the entire west side IRT for two weekends, even though they apparently managed it just fine in 1990. |
