Actually, a well run Transit Authority would have enough employees so that none would need overtime, or very little overtime. Yes the company must pay overtime with certain jobs, and when there is FUBAR on the tracks.I'd rather give crews a full day's pay for their schedule even it it was only six or seven hours a day than to pay unnecessary overtime. Obviously, those would be bid out to the more senior employees. Some jobs would include overtime, and these would be paid their overtime, and again likely go to more senior employees. ROAR |
