9th Avenue lower always looked dingy and abandoned. All the Culver Shuttle stations were allowed to basically fall apart between 1955 and 1975. I last rode the 'SS' in 1974. The platform lights at 13th Avenue were out. I'm surprised that the shuttle lasted in service until 1975.
