Anyone following your logic of price over all wouldn't take Amtrak long distance. Buses are cheaper (but miserable). Amtrak fits a valuable niche in the speed/price/comfort field, and abandoning comfort abandons the niche.I'm thinking they're trying to National City Lines the long distance trains in an effort to get rid of them entirely. |
