Old Chicago L cars at the Illinois Railway Museum

CRT #1024 was built by Pullman-Standard in 1898 and ran in passenger service until 1954. It was originally Northwestern Elevated Railroad 24; renumbered 1024 in 1913; and became CRT 1024 in 1923. Converted to a work car in 1954, 1024 made its last revenue trip in 1958.

CRT #1797 was built by ACF in 1907. It was originally built as a trailer for Northwestern Elevated Railroad #288, and rebuilt to a motor and renumbered 1797 in 1913. It became CRT 1797 in 1923.
