There might also be a god character who doesn't accept repentance of any kind, but then it can't hurt to repent because you can't know that either.But the Christian doctrine allows for sincere repentance. And a person intending to repent on his deathbed might actually feel that his waiting that long is wrong and might wish to have chosen to repent earlier. Would the god character punish such a person even if their otherwise planned repentance was ultimately sincere? |
