Since train T/O's and conductors have two-way radios (although the older radios with the docking station (R1/9 times) and the external outside antenna probably worked better), why couldn't each train announce their location and given permission to enter the next station.(Pelham 123 approaching 23rd St. with a green light). The radios were probably used to tell the T/O's to stop and remain awaiting further instructions.Secondly, if the trains were going to remain in the stations, why discharge the passengers? Let them either leave or wait it out in the A/C cars. |
