Source: New York Division Bulletin /April 2004 Tuscarora Almanac - July 16, 1974 - The Book of Wrecks Ridgewood, Queens, New York New York City Transit Authority BMT Division A fire at the Metropolitan Avenue Terminal of the BMT Myrtle Avenue Line causes heavy damage to the southern end of the station. There was an eight car train on the southbound (M2) track consisting of (n) 8513-2, 8203-2, 8237-6 and 8359-8 (s). It was reported that cars 8202-3 were totally destroyed and cars 8512 and 8237 were badly burned and beyond repair.
