Planners and policy analysts as well. Unused tracks, connections, and platforms are an opportunity to increase or improve service at a fraction of the cost of tunneling new lines. Not that this would be cheap. Lower Bergen would have to be restored to a usable state with walls tiled and any equipment on the platforms relocated. And it would probably take four elevators to make the station ADA compliant. |
