I'd say the ideal is that an express passes exactly one local in front of it, "cleanly," such that little-to-no conflict occurs at rejoining points (e.g. Jay St northbound). Extra points if the two meet up at 7th Ave for passenger transfers, and extra points if the F express departs/arrives (depending on direction) simultaneously with the G at Church Ave. |
