Hm, my experience with the cafe car on Acela tends to hover around a "not worth it" but apparently they have something vaguely swankier in first class.If first class is otherwise worth it, I'd book a train that serves dinner just to get that included too. Here's hoping the trip goes far better than the process of booking it. Amtrak's reservation people have a bit of trouble with the idea of two people who are travelling together but not "together" on the Auto Train with one car but essentially two separate reservations with separate payments. I had to arrange three (3) conference calls to get everything sorted. |
