A refurbished iPhone 8 costs about $300.00-$350.00. I just Googled. I'm sure you can get a 7 or 6S for even less, but this would be a 1 for 1 replacement for what I have now.

But note that Messrs. Fine, Howard, and Fine indicated that phone thefts are more likely on board trains than at the turnstile.
