Ridership is too light. Even if it increases 50%, still too light. Ridership beyond Glen Cove is really light.Oyster Bay Branch has a frequency problem and a speed problem. Those are bigger inhibitors to ridership than changing at Jamaica. Hempstead, Far Rock usually have to change too and West Hempstead often gets a double transfer Run it as a shuttle form Mineola every hour, with 2 train sets, and ridership would grow. |
