NY State is the largest producer of Hydro power East of the Missisippi. They key to greater reliance on renewables revolves around large scale energy storage. After I retired from the electrical industry I have been teaching courses about alternative energy systems, and green/high performance building concepts for electrical apprentices and journeypersons. Tomorrow I will be facilitator for a roundtable discussion on workforce training and development for solr and energy storage at the CUNY Solar + Storage Summitt at Jihn Jay college, so it is a topic I do like to discuss.
