I remember one morning a 4 car train gapped out on Valley Interlocking and there was a lot of trouble coupling another train to it to pull or push it out of the way. After that I can't remember seeing any 4 car consists even on West Hempstead runs. I also got stuck on one 6 car Far Rockaway train leaving Brooklyn. We gapped out and somehow eventually got back into Atlantic Terminal after tying up all the service for at least half an hour. Talk about taking a train to nowhere! |
