My PhD cousin is 60 and has triple figure debt, like $500K, including a mortgage partially owned by her parents in their 80's, including about $40K in home expansions she never got permits for, and now has back taxes and fines. Her 2 young adult daughters are also clueless with money. Don't confuse high IQ with any common sense. That's Williston Park, and they are not unusual to behave that way in that neck of the woods. |
