However, the Rock Pk shuttle is 4 car R-46 trains 24/7 so no cutting or adding is necessary. As for the Lefferts Shuttle, merely cutting an 8 car R-46 train at night and adding it back up in the morning is not that labor intensive at all. If cutting and adding is that rough on the equipment, then there is a severe problem with the manufacturing standards since for years older cars like R-9s, and later equipment were cut and added with relative regularity and little if any difficulty. |
