This is a five car streamlined train with an EMD 16-201 Prime Mover. Road nos. are 121-125. Volkmer Tuscarora Almanac – May 17, 2013 – The Book of Wrecks Fairfield, Connecticut Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line Two trains of the new M-8 electric cars collide east of the Fairfield Metro station. Over seventy passengers are injured. Train 1548 (GCT-NHV) derailed while operating on track 4. It was struck by train # 1581 (NHV-GCT) operating on track 2. Several of the new cars sustained varying degrees of damage. The consists were as follows; # 1548 9308-9, 9246-7, 9310-1 and 9174-5; # 1581 9193-2, 9259-8, 9145-4 and 9191-0.
