Officially it is known as Construction Route 124 Dyre Avenue-East 174 Street Route. The new service will be know as the Dyre Avenue Local and it will operate between Dyre Avenue Terminal and the former NYW&B station at 180th Street at all times except midnight hours. Gate Cars 1581-1587 and 1589-1600 are assigned to revenue service while Gate Cars 107 and 1580 are designated as snow cars. This is the section of the former New York,Westchester & Boston Railway that was located within the city limits. Passenger train service on the NYW&B ceased on December 31, 1937. Tuscarora Almanac - May 15, 1948 - The Book of Wrecks Bronx, New York New York City Board of Transportation IND Division R-6-2 1192 is wrecked in a collision on Tracks 14 and 15 in the IND Concourse Yard. She may never have returned to service and was scrapped in August, 1958. Tuscarora Almanac May 15, 1949 The Book of Last Runs Brooklyn, New York New York City Board of Transportation BMT Division This is the last day of service for the 65th Street-Bay Ridge Avenue trolley line (Rt.34). The final run is made by Peter Witt 8189. It is also the last day for the Eighth Avenue trolley line (Rt.30). The final run was made by Peter Witt 8255. The train was made up of eight R-32s; (s) 3767-6, 3858-9, 3806-7 and 3808-9 (n). Car 3766 was badly damaged.
