Yep, building lines are your best bet for finding old urban ROWs. The Bushwick branch is another good example, you can still see a distinct line of empty spaces between buildings (sometimes filled with much newer buildings) in what is otherwise a moderately dense area. IIRC the 3rd Av El in the Bronx was also a private ROW for some distance.
