What would you say is the most obviously visible location presently to point out the past existence of this LIRR branch to someone unfamiliar?I would say the retaining wall at Gravesend Neck Rd. There were other retaining walls, but this one had the stairs to the platform. The concrete fence posts weren't as visible, there were more I have seen in the past. I haven't seen the other retaining walls in years so I don't know if they were removed for development. Bill Newkirk |
