If memory serves, when I went to Chicago last September for the CERA 80th anniversary, I bought a Ventra card at O'Hare and bought a 3-day pass for $20. I passed through the turnstile without incident and used the pass for three days. On the fourth day, Sunday, I added $20 for another three days at a downtown subway station. The card decided to deduct per ride. I just checked - the card still has $10 credit on it good until June 2021. My conclusion is that Vetra directions are not clear and the software driving it is not perfect. |
