The increased end excess is precisely the reason that the end doors are kept locked on the 75 ft cars. On certain curves and switches, the end doors pass out of sight of each other from one car to another so an open gangway would be impossible in such situations. The switch N/O Pacific St is so sharp that when looking out of the rear end door window of one of the forward cars, yo can actually see past the SIDE of the next car. |
