That would have been the smart move when ordering the R44s. 67Ft cars could have been used anywhere on the B division. This would mean complete interchangability on any line. Makes me wonder if whoever ordered the R44s & approved the 75ft length knew that they could not run on the BMT eastern division. It would come as no suprise to me if they did not. |
