Posted by Jackson Park B Train on Tue Mar 19 15:41:29 2019, in response to Re: South Shore question, posted by George Foelschow on Tue Mar 19 14:36:16 2019. actually, I believe NICTD is a tenant as ar as the State Line (at least Hegewisch) as the former Kensington & Eastern passed to Metra when they bought the IC Electric.FWIW, Kensington today is a shadow of its former self. The original Michigan Central passenger route used IC from there to Central Station until Al Perlman moved MC trains to the Lake Shore & Michigan Southern (mainline NYC) and La Salle Street Station in the 50s. |
