There were counties in the 70s which opted instead for "commodity food" which meant the recipient each month collected lowest end canned goods, cheese, cereal, peanut butter, clearly commercial products but USDA lebeling. as to the electronic replacements, maybe more cost effective,but also some profit for the very largest of the bank crooks. |
