Re: R32s on the A?

Thank you. I went out for my railfan trip around 10:15 AM today. It wasn't all I'd hoped for. I wanted to ride an R32 from 14th to Far Rockaway. But after quite some time waiting and seeing only R46s, I caught an railfanned an R32 C to Euclid. Not quite as good as an express run, but it still gave me a good look at the Fulton tunnel, and being local, I got to see all the stations. I figured I'd switch to a Far Rock train at Euclid, whatever kind it was. A dash across the bay is still pretty cool, and it's been at least 10 years since I did it.

But then an R32 headed for Lefferts pulled in, and I had to make a quick decision - which did I want more- an RFW or a dash across the bay (I didn't have hours to potentially wait for an R32 to Far Rock.

So- I settled for the run to Lefferts, which, believe it or not, I've never previously done by subway. It was pretty cool, and there ere workers doing maintenance on the Brooklyn-bound and center tracks. And I figured I'd get an express RFW trip back to Manhattan...

NO! The train went OOS at Lefferts, and I was getting tired, so I rode an R46 back. So how do I rate this day of railfanning? I'll give it a 6.62 on a scale of 1-10. I didn't get my R32 across the bay, but I did go where I'd never previously been, I saw all the turnouts east of Euclid, and I saw the drop-off east of Jay Street. It comes immediately after the station, and is steep. I see no way to put a switch there, as some on here have suggested.
