Were it not for the New Deal, there would have been famine, and by the time Pearl Harbor came, would not have had physically fit and nourished 18 - 21 year olds to enter the war.We are more vulnerable now. All too many federal workers and contractors missing 1 or 2 paychecks sent them to soup kitchens. Typical race-to-the bottom Walmart nation we have become. |
