Yes, the WillyB Plaza was supposed to replace the Marcy Ave station.The plan to relocate the station over the trolley plaza was probably a factor in closing the Broadway Ferry spur on July, 3rd, 1916. Both Driggs Ave and Marcy Ave had side platforms. The old signal tower would have needed sight distance for trains from Broadway Ferry and the shuttle turnback track over Keap St, just east of Marcy. |
