I was on the ERA fantrip, the day or so after it ceased operation. Memories.I missed the gate cars & C-types, Multis and the AB's when were in southern division service - was too young for the first two (back then I was still only looking out the front window of the E or F - mid to late 50s), if Multis were in Broadway service to Astoria at all until the end of 1957, I may have ridden them out of Queens Plaza, going into work with my Dad. I finally became railfan conscious during the mid 60s, so at least I rode the ABs in Canarsie & Myrtle-Chambers service. |
