I remember coming back in the family car (Studebaker) from visiting my mother's cousin somewhere in Flushing. We'd take Horace Harding for part of the way. I remember riding through the Flushing Meadow Park area, during maybe 1956 or '57. Going east, the road, too a long downards incline, where he park was on both sides. Horace Harding seemed enormously wide as a kid, when I looked out the car windows. I also remember the road being full of potholes. |
