I remember some female vocalist miming "Cry Me A River" on Alan Freed, way back when. My reaction was, 'now my parents music' is playing on a rock'n'roll show?
Remember Mr. Freed, a scapegoat for the other DJ's who took payola.
He had a good show. Flipping between his and Dick Clark's shows, channels 5 to 7, I decided I liked Alan Freed's better.
