No one is proposing station on the Central Branch.Electrifying it for "flexibility" is just another stupid LRR capital priority, like the 11-track Ronkonkoma yard expansion, the brainless stuffed shirts at MTA will fall for. LIRR does not want to grow its ridership. They don't want the train volume, and they don't want the passenger revenue since it means the operating subsidy could be cut harmlessly. |
