So even if one could place train tracks on the bridge, the trains could not "get" to those tracks.Which is of course nonsense as stated. It all depends how far in advance of the bridge the underground tracks start to rise. What they probably mean is that it would have been politically unacceptable to have subway tracks arise out of 4th Ave and become elevated north of 95th Street. |
