What about an arrival crossing over which causes a train to leave late?In addition to Mr. Randyo's comment, this is at a time when scheduled headways are 20 minutes. The necessity to meet at the tunnel makes it impossible to set terminal recovery time 10 minutes. If you look at the schedule, you will note: trains are scheduled to arrive at RPY at 16:30, 36:30 and 56:30 past each hour. They are scheduled to depart RPY at 03:00; 23:00 and 43:00 past each hour. This gives arriving trains a 5 1/2 minute buffer to avoid interfering with departing trains. |
