In the 1970's the EE and RR trains were 8 cars in length, at 480 feet, which I believe were short enough to fit on those two former express tracks within the confines of the City Hall local R station. Yes, the expansion to regular 10-cars of 600-foot trains renders those tracks not as useful as before. Mike |
