There is no reason why any stations have to be skipped. What can be done is that both tracks at Bedford can be kept open. Service between Bedford and Canarsie can be operated on a 10 min headway with alternate trains terminating on the track that is O/S in the tube and alternate trains can operate single tk through the open track. I worked single tk operations involving that tube in all my operating titles except for C/R and as a schedule manager even generated single tk supplement schedules and there were no problems. With the CBTC having replaced the old signaling, the operation should be even smoother. |
