At the time of GOH, there was no requirement that there be a board for anything less than a maximum length train so that at 600 ft long stations, a C/R board would not be required for an 8 car train the way it would be for 480 ft long statins as found on the bMT Eastern. It was expected that on less than a maximum length train, the C/R would be able to observe that the entire train was berthed at the platform without a board. |
