The thing that you and the other stupids don't realize that is that there are laws and regulations regarding emergency signage. Add a whole bunch of exceptions and exemptions and the rules become difficult to follow. Then when someone dies because of a poorly marked exit, people will complain.

IOW, it's easier to mark exit doors even where no one would benefit from the marking than it is to carve out exceptions.
